Rear Caliper Carrier

Postby RiceBurner » Thu Jul 01, 2004 9:14 am

Saw Paul in Vines this morning (nice bike!) and he was there for a carrier replacement because the thread had stripped itself after a tyre change.

Rev Fred has this same problem and he needs to sort it soon.

How many others?? What's the carrier made of?? Cheese?? :?

I stripped the thread on the rear caliper when I had an S. Bought a second hand replacement from Motorworks. Wasn't thinking straight and swapped the whole caliper (requiring hydraulic bleed etc) before realising I could have separated the carrier from the caliper. Doh! Any yes, they are made from finest Wensleydale.
