BMW Breakers

Postby RiceBurner » Tue Feb 24, 2004 10:15 am

Are there any good, trustworthy ones??

For example, I have had several dealing with Barton Motors in Bath for Kawasaki parts and they now know me and will send me good parts.

Are there any breakers of this kin around for BMW's?

Motorworks are breakers plus there's Motobins and James Sherlock.

I've used Motobins in the past (about an hours ride from me) and Motorworks more recently. I picked up the James Sherlock link off the GS forum but never used them.

Forgive me father for I have sinned... ex S owner moved onto pastures new with four cylinders and a chain... and back to a twin, albeit in a V.

RB,
if you end up dealing with motorworks speak to the resident S owner - Darren, he's been most helpful in the past. Worth phoning the other two first for a price coz Darren hates to lose an order to them and will do a deal if he can. After all, you need to get the best deal you can, know what I mean :!: :!:

I believe Motorworks general rule is 30% of list price for second hand bits. :)

The trick to buying BM parts,is to scour MCN ot the bike trader for breakers that have a S advertised, they will always be miles cheaper than the like of MW's etc,it's more time consumeing and more hassle but can be much cheaper,i stocked up three years years ago i wish i'd bought a lot more!!!,the trick is to buy it when it's cheap!! not when you need it!!!.
