Warning Light

Postby GerryB » Sat Mar 15, 2014 7:12 pm

In my effort to make my bike more user friendly I replaced the rear bulb with a LED bulb .

I always used these on my dual sport bikes out in South Africa .

Now my warning light is on .... :?

What do I do ?

Go back to the conventional bulb ?

Disconnect the Warning lamp or what ?

I've ordered LED indicator bulbs too ...

you'll need either bulbs with resistors or a change of TS relay

Try a 100 ohm resistor, if I can remember correctly.

Thanks for that .

The ECU wont shut the bike down or any stupid thing like that if I don't immediately go back to a regular bulb will it ?

No, but you can clear the fault, if it remains, with a GS911 if it is a R1200S/HP2 or any other CANbus BMW.
