Noticed this HOLE  in my Tyre after a 130-mile ride yesterday......
taking wheel/Tyre back to Dealer where I bought to seek a replacement.

More likely to have been picked up on the 130 mile ride. If it was not a brand new tyre that they fitted I would have thought it would be pretty obvious.

Had a similar thing with a Conti Motion

I had an unexplainable cut appear in one whilst in Scotland in 2012 - tyre had done less than 1000 miles !

I think you'll get some concession on the price of a new tyre but that one doesn't look to have a great deal left in it anyway IMO?

Z8's squared off to early for my liking.

If someone brought that back to me, I'd be very tempted to remove them from my premises and advise them not to return.

That tyre is nigh-on worn out - there's absolutely no way the retailer or manufacturer could ever be held responsible for that!

Did the dealer give any opinion as to the defect, Rob?

A result - as you say.

All four tyres on the wife's new car where faulty, dealer replaced them less
the 4500 miles she had put on them before seeing the fault.........so you got a right result.

I am neither desperate or have anything to prove.
Perhaps the Dealer absorbed the cost of a new tyre as we have and will continue to put a lot of business his way.
Rob.
