Shock Servicing

Postby Grip Fast » Sun Sep 02, 2012 9:44 pm

Anyone know of a good place in North Bucks, Northampton or Bedfordshire to get the Ohlins shocks serviced on my 12S? I used Revs near Brum before, and they are good, but it's a ways to go from MIlton Keynes area, especially if I have to leave the bike.

Last time it was an eBay shock that I dropped off at Revs and they posted back.

Cheers.

What about mail order? it might be less hassle to remove the shock and post it to a specialist to have it done right then get it posted back to yourself??

Sorry I can't assist-but i was sort of wondering the same as my ohilns rear spring is starting to show just a wee bit of corrosion so would like to source a new one.

Check out here anybody close??

If it is just a cosmetic issue, why not remove spring oneself and paint it? I did and well pleased with result. Little money spent :)

-with less of a wallet-shock!

Call MCT Suspension 01449 777161 in Stowmarket for good advice.

They take in lots of work by courier or post, and usually charge around £100-110 for a service.

They are at:
Unit 16A, Charles Industrial Estate
Stowmarket
Suffolk IP14 5AH

Highly recommended...John

What John said.

I've used MCT in the past, as have a few biking mates from the Cambridge area and they've always done a superb job. :)

Damoace send his bike to MCT for some suspension work and according to him it has made a world of difference. The suspension is much better. PM him for more details.
