Many of you know how much I loved my old R1100R...

Well I've just found this . Check it out in the stock list. Sure it's way overpriced but for cash, who knows :)

I leave it up to you to talk me out of it ;)

I had one a loan bike once - man alive you can chuck them around! Well flickable. I just hated the gearbox but I guess you 1100 owners are used to that.

You're not doing a very good job here folks. :( ;)

My first ever BM was a 1996 R1100R which I had for 18 months and over 30000 miles. Rode the spuds off it on a regular basis and never had an ounce of trouble with it. Great thing is that they look so incredibly dull yet are a hoot to ride. The one for sale here probably needs running-in again with such few miles on it. Not seen one in such good nick for a long long time.

Would I miss the Blackbird's bombproof build and 160bhp? Hmmm... :?

I think you might be referring to the oil coolers? There's one on each side mounted above the cylinders.

My second 11R - complete with our big woofer, Jack, who's saying 'touch my dad's bike...you lose an arm' ;)

Once I'd done a couple of mods...

Richard , there is no law against having 2 bikes,so keep the Honda. I have just looked and the BM is for sale at Bill Lomas Motorcycles. I used to watch Bill race just after the war (2nd) when I was a small boy. He raced the V8 Moto Guzzi for a short while. He used to have his shop on the A6 at Milford, had a window full of old racing bikes.

There is in this house unfortunately. :(

I've got the go-ahead from Ann for this, just need to get my head round having 'only' 80bhp again ;)

Will sleep on this tonight, then give Lomas's a ring in the morning for a bit more info. :)

I reckon you've already made your mind up mate, I take it your thinking of part-exing the blackbird? that's a shame, 'cos I really like that bike of yours, and I've room in the garage for another! Hmmm

Steve - I'd be selling the Blackbird separately (if I do end up changing) as I'm after getting a fair wedge knocked off that 11R.

I had an 850R on loan for a few days when Bemer Bikes were sorting out my Evo Brake thingy, I found it great fun to ride and it felt like a 125 after my S.

Go for it!
2011 Harley-Davidson FLD Switchback - yeah, I know. I've always wanted one though...
