I'd love a pair of roadstar gtx's, but I can't find a dealer anywhere near me to go and try/buy a pair from
I know there is always a mail order option, but I'd like to try em on first.

It's grim up north...

FWIW, there is also a wide fitting available...

Not that I'm trying to say anything...

The size seemed spot on (same as shoes)...with thin socks on. I'm not sure I'd get in them with thicker socks on; bloke in shop said they give a little after a while, but others here would probably know...

Saved over £125. Just make sure you order the ones that fit.
They don't let in a drop, even after the ride through last nights downpour.

Move over! Move over! Coming through!

You want waterproof boots? Inexpensive? Stylish? Ridden by Biking Gods?

Try Richa: http://www.roadbikegear.co.uk/20.html

I'm on my 2nd pair and they have been 100% w'proof, warm, styish and worn by Riding Gods.

Alternatively Julien will tell you that flip-flops dry out really quickly...

Ha! I spit on your Carlsberg Altmans! I had to help a scuba diver yesterday who'd got his flippers in a twist in the Loire river. I was 10m under for about a half hour. Emerged TOTALLY dry and still smoking my cigar. Richas I tell ye, that's where it's at!

Oh yes.

I also bought a pair of Daytona's and I found them warm as well as dry, there like wearing shoes rather than boots.
I use pure alpaca mohair socks there soft and let your feet breath and they dont smell like cotton mix socks when your feet sweat in summer.

Rain? No. In fact the weather's been very sunny for the past week. Bit "pommes de terre" though

I've had my goretex Daytonas for around 14 years and they are still water-tight - even in Scottish rain. They would still look pretty reasonable too if I ever got around to polishing/cleaning them.

I went swimming in mine the other day and had to take them off to make a floatation device to help a stranded granny out at sea.

What size are they if you can swim in them?
