Ali,
Sounds like you had an interesting trip after leaving Chateau Flash, Thought about you this morning as I was leaving for work you should have being queuing for breakfast and then heading north, You picked a far better day to head up to Edinburgh than Andrew S did , The rain was soaking us all quite nicely when we got off the ship last week.

Regards Peter.

Funny you should say that.

I was thinking of you chaps this morning...

Had to queue in a Huge queue cos the ship was full of Germans! They obviously didn't have any sun loungers to reserve so were waiting in their droves in the breakfast queue...

We also had the German Chapter of the "Hells Angels" on board. I think there's Hells Angels "Meeting" in Matlock Bath this weekend so be warned!

All the best

Great pics! :)

The Grimselpasse looks a tad different to the last time I was there.

Did you make it up to the cafe at Gletsch, just above the hydro-electric station? Great place for bikes to meet up - when the weather's fine of course! A tad more pictureskew than Box Hill ;)

Had a ball though, Great roads...

Ali

Nice photo's although I think you need to spill the beans about getting 'nicked'!!
It has however given me some inspiration ready for when I recover from my injury. I have the GPS out and am looking at maps and routes!!

Nicked...

Apparently only electric vehicles and those of residents are allowed in Zermat.
I had a whole load of stuff to carry so chose to ignore the sign 2 miles down the valley. I got into Zermat and everyone was looking at me like I had 2 heads!
I realised that I was very much out of place and turned round to find a Policeman waiting for me... I had only gone 20 metres past the sign that says electrical vehicles only (Which I genuinely hadn't seen)
He took great delight in explaining my wrongdoing and charged me 100SFR for my trouble.

KEITH - it sounds like you have had an unfortunate complication. I hope you like football. Enjoy the good weather. I snapped mine in the winter and it was pants!

Cheers

Anyone thought about cleaning their bike yet?

My S is looking distinctively 'ratty', so much so that I had to use the KTM this week - it being marginally cleaner in it's orangey glory!

Took me 3 hours yesterday to do mine.

I had to wash it to get the salt off...

Mine's going in for a service at Crescent on Monday. Last time around they cleaned it fantastically, (unfortunately washing off all the ACF50.)

I'm hoping they'll do the same this time, but I have a horrible feeling they'll refuse to touch it at all, it's in a really 'orrible state right now. :(

I blame the hosepipe ban meself.
