ITV's absolutely SH!TE BSB coverage

I thought this was a better effort. I too liked seeing the other races in addition to the main event.

Just hoping the reports of WSB being picked up (was it C4 or C5?) are indeed true. To me, £131.50 for the tv licence is bad enough without shelling out another £300+ per year for satellite/cable.

For you guys who don't have sky,the Superstock race was good'un,although i should imagine there were some fisty cuffs after the race!!.

Just to give a reply to the BSB organisers taking the kings shilling comment, in fact they have to pay ITV for putting the series on the telebox and they have had to do the same in the previous years with SKY. but I have to agree the ITV effort is well below par when compared to SKY but it is reaching a much wider audience who are now seeing motorsport with overtaking for a change.

Just finished watching the entire Sky coverage (as I taped it). Even the 125's. They had everything on there. Best set of races I've seen on the telly since last years wet Donnington MotoGP race. Donnington in the wet is a spectacle that's for sure. All the racers were saying how unpredicatable the surface was lap to lap and even corner to corner.

It convinced the wife about track days though. To watch rider after rider skating off the track at various speeds, only to get up again and ride off, had a positive effect on her. 106 crashes and no injuries, don't think you'd get that sort of statistic on the roads.

God knows who's been spinning you a yarn,but the BSB mob couldn't stand the cost of a cuppa,never mind pay to televise bike raceing!!!,they are that hard up, they had the annual pissup/prize giveing(2005) at the NEC show last year to save money.

The phone conversation this morning!!,i asked how much more had ITV coughed up, in comparison to Sky,the answer i got!! quote 'alot you won't get an more accurate answer than that'.

£9.00 per week also equates to £450 odd per year! Hell man I know I have a reputation for squeaking whilst walking - but that is extortionate. I could insure the bike and get a new Arai every year for that!
Did you know that you can still get Eurosport for free on the old analogue Astra satellite? £15 for a decoder off of Ebay and £45 for a nice brand new dish 2 years ago gets me all the GP and World Supers coverage - now thats a bargain.

I'm firmly in the grasp of the evil Sky empire run by Darth Murdoch. It's bloody expensive I know but it always works, and Sky+ is the best invention since internet porn.
