Keeping the old girl upright.

I have my two bikes, boxercup & the Triumph Tiger 1200 in a brick built outhouse. They only just fit in together, but at least they are fairly secure. The Boxercup is strapped upright to a wall one side & the Tiger sits on its centre stand.
I'm thinking about one of these wheel locking clamps you see on ferry's, that locks your bike in place whilst in transit, for the Bcr
Anybody had any experience of using these sort of clamps at home?
Ideas welcome, other than selling my Bcr to them to free up space....

Not used one. Can not comment other than to ask to satisfy my curiosity if additional strapping is required?

Used one to transport a bike in a van - very sturdy but obviously needed additional straps. I think you might have to secure it to the floor? I've thought about getting one for the same reason. My mate has one so I'll ask him what he thinks if it can work as a standalone (see wot I did) or whether it would need additional securing

I have one of the stand alone front wheel chock things.
The length of life I have left is unfortunately too short to wrestle with trying to put a picture on here, so please bear with the written description.
It's a tubular steel frame with pivoting wheel chock on the bottom and a fixed V shaped on at the front which contacts the front wheel at half height. You roll the bike into it and it holds it upright while you add ratchet straps to further secure the bike .
Now, I use it lose in my box trailer when moving a bike, but also bolted down on a hydraulic height adjustable bike work bench.
They are ok in keeping the bike (R1100S etc.) upright but the bike is not 100% stable - about 85% I'd say.
So it will do, but an additional strap to the wall from a footrest over the seat may be needed for insurance.

Mine site upright on an ABBA stand, a breeze to use once you have the hang of it and really sturdy. Sits tight to the bike both sides.
