R1200s front pipes - Rarer than hens teeth or limited market?

I have a set of never fitted BOS front pipes for the R1200s still in their box and packaging. Bought and never fitted. Cant decide whether to keep them just in case or to try and get my money back. Anyone know if there still demand for them or do we think the boat has sailed? Not desperate eitherway but its amazing what you find when your cleaning the garage out!

If they fit other 1200 models you would have more chance of selling them, I have a full BOS system on my GS, the down pipes come back to just aft of the front pegs then join to a y piece that is probably GS specific.

I’m afraid there bike specific Al, because of the under seat silencer.
Ted they will have value but as there’s approx 180 registered and another 50 odd on sorn it’s a very limited market.

like you say its whether anyone out there wants to upgrade, even if its just to get rid of the cat. Probably put them back in the garage for another few year!

No shocks unfortunately but ive seen some recently on *bay i think?

i have some HPE ones on which are more curvy than the Bos ones but i have bos carbon pipes (bought both through this site) on the back and got the new front ones to match but preferred / cant be bothered to swap the others - hence never fitted. Never sent anything abroad before - is it straight forward?

HPE very nice I can see why the Boss were never fitted. Re overseas postage I believe you just post as normal *bay sort out the rest and the buyer pays the full postage, there’s plenty of info on the bay site, got to be worth a shot, it would certainly open up your market place

Akrapovic headers are hens teeth defo. Do your pipes fit Akrapovic end can and eliminate the cat?

Iirc Dave, as long as the Akrapovic is just the tail pipe then any headers will fit, if the Akra rear section was part of a full Akra setup then they won’t fit. Hope that helps

I think there would fit as i had my cans fitted to the standard exhaust for a while. They retain the O2 sensors but as you say, eliminate the cat. I'm working next couple of days but will dig them out and try and post a picture or two. From my memory they are quite angular so might not be to everyones taste. Certainly the bike sounds a lot better without the cat but you might want to think of a fuel enriching device as some folk say they can run lean without the cat (can of worms?)
