That is interesting, the security cameras are obviously no deterrent to these crooks. I have heard of lot`s of stories of keyless theft.
Key fob needs storing in a signal proof pouch overnight.

I would have thought the fob would only transmit a signal when the button is pressed. Is the fob readable even when it isn't transmitting?
Edit: spent two minutes thinking about it, and of course, the car can detect that the key is in my pocket. I need to press the button to lock/unlock the car, but that's all. Doh!

Double click the lock button and the fob will go to sleep, you cannot open the car again unless you press the fob, (because the fob is a sleep you cant just touch the handle to open it.) And yes put your fob in a small sweet tin etc. That's for a Mercedes.
