Same problem on my 12S with front discs, changed the brembos for the Tsuboss discs from ebay and now on my second pair.
The first pair seemed ok for a few days and then the judder started and you could see a section of the disc that wasn't cleaning under braking. Thought I may have overheated and warped them so bought another pair, bedded in carefully and they lasted three weeks before the judder has started to come back.
Will check bearings, pads etc and report back if i find anything.

as advised by one of our mechanics, i'll try and make a flat surface on the pads with some sandpaper.
i'll report back if it helps any bit.
our suspicion is that the metal inside the pads, combined with not so great compound is at fault.

"Watch out for those sintered pads over winter - if you plan on laying the bike up over winter, either remove the pads, or slip a piece of plastic (packaging plastic) between pads and discs - to prevent galvanic action (localised pitting) between the pads and the discs."

Yes and it's even worse if the bike's been ridden on a salted road, the salt gets in the pads and pits the discs - my Hayabusa had a bad attack of that because I was riding in winter then in the UK.

EBC discs and pads going in tomorrow - off to Hawes Sunday for 4 days so I hope they are sorted.

Catalogue listed the discs wrong - should be 5mm thick these were 4.5mm. So will have to wait till I'm back.

i took out the pads ad gave them a flat surface on a small belt grinder.
after the testride, everything ok, so it was confirmed (at least in my case) that the pads are at fault.
i draw some lines on the pads before the beltgrinder (stange but the pads seems to suck the permanent marker so the lines are not so visible).
after that i just tuched the pad to the belt for a few seconds. the result is in the picture. more than half the pad was not touching anything (left upper corner, right upper corner and almost half of the bottom part you an still see the lines).

Yesterday I had the new EBC discs and HH pads fitted, runout was checked and was as good as it gets. Road tested by the fitter and passed as no pulsing. So now I have to run them in for a bit before trying some hard braking.

They do look quality discs though, as well they should for the money.

Is the abs sensor mount a standard fit on the 1100s forks? Never noticed that before, but then the bcr never had the option of abs and different forks I presume.

Boxerscott was spot on, I have been badmouthing Tsuboss discs without checking the basics!!! Serves me right for trusting the MOT that was done with the brake judder present. I thought they would have picked up a failed bearing but never assume!!! Ordered a pair of brembos and bobbins from eBay and when I went to fit them found two things 1) shot bearing on the right hand side and 2) the bobbins and washers provided by the company to fit the brembos were wrong and caused the disc mounting bolts to hit the fork legs when you turned the wheel!! Miffed to say the least.
A public apology to Tsuboss, the discs were amazing when working.
