R1100S PX value

Postby Malj » Thu Mar 17, 2016 7:56 pm

High folks, just had a test ride of a f800st and was quite impressed and am seriously considering trading in the r1100s against it. However as I've always privately bought and sold my bikes I have no idea of the PX value can anyone help.
It's a 98 plate, with 34000 miles on the clock, pretty much standard apart from the seat and screen, also has Bmw panniers. I would say it's in good to very good condition. Any idea of the value please. I have some photos and will send them via email if that would help with valuation( not yet up to speed to post pictures on the sight). I still have a bit of a soft spot for the old girl and would rather keep it than give it away to a dealer who will sell it for top price.

Regards Mal

I reckon you'd prbably get about 1500, maybe a bit more as it's a new bike that you're buying.
There's quite a few on ebay at the £2K mark so can't see them giving you muchmore than that

I reckon they will just bung it out to trade and give you what trade offers them.

Trade will want to make about £500 profit. Will mark it up to knock a bit off for the savvy buyer.

You will be lucky to get a grand.

My suggestion would be to sell it privately where you stand a better chance of realising something more realistic.

Hope this is helpful.

Good luck enjoy the excitement of buying a new bike :)

I think the figures quoted are probably right so just keep it and you'll have a choice of what to ride as the mood takes you :D
