170 mile round trip

Postby Trumpetdude » Mon Jun 02, 2014 10:07 am

Getting used to the bike now. Rode to the fuel light yesterday, East Lothian to Ayrshire and back, or from the dry part of Scotland to the wet part and back :).
I had a bit of a load on the bike and kept up a respectable motorway speed, managed to return 48mpg.. I think that's about bang on?

Not so sure about the speedo though, feels like it's about 5-10 mph out, I'll hopefully get it gps verified next time I'm out. The bike is noticeably more vibey than the divvy so I've treated myself to some grip puppies, nice!, not perfect but better.

All's looking in place for Southampton and the long range forecast is even getting a thumbs up (at this stage!), just hoping the givi rack turns up in time.
Parping my way along... Actually yes, I do blow my own trumpet.
