On the subject of engine paint I eventually went for POR15 engine paint from Frost Auto Restoration. They also do a "Chassis Coat Black" which is a perfect match for the BMW semi-gloss black frame paint.
Furthermore, Frost do a fabulous catalogue full of inspiring and splendid things with which (grammar) chaps & chapesses can equip their sheds
