Crazy cop bike chase

Postby Boxered » Fri Feb 03, 2017 12:09 pm

This is some crazy riding, it's a very long vid at 33 mins but thoroughly watchable.
the chase only starts at 8.40.

Not sure what the bike is, some kind of cruiser, but boy can it motor!

I'm surprised to see that evidence gathering data doesn't appear on screen in Finland.

My old stomping ground around Helsinki, I recognised so much of the routes

I think it's a Suzuki 1800 Intruder Steve, I may be wrong but the police bike doesn't sound like a four so I'm wondering if it's an RT?

Crazy riding and it was only going to end with a bump. Luckily a soft one.

I thought that too, but I can't see that model being tuned to that extent though, it does sound good though

I thought the cop bike sounded like an fj1300?
He certainly likes to hit the rev limiter though

The bike at 0:30" is a ZZR1400 - the one which was being chased is a cruiser, you can easliy see that when the guy loses it near the end. Huge back tyre, stretched pegs etc.

Just a guess, but it's fast, seems to handle better than it has any right to. Stacked exhausts (just a glimpse when it's on its side) Ducati Diavel?

Hmm, that FAT rear tyre, stacked pipes, the tank badge (start of the chase, where he comes along side the cop) ......Victory Hammer Sport with some serious tuning?

My Bad
I made a mistake.
I thought it was the very first bike you see in the video being chased, and later realized that he was another cop.
I'd have had the chased bike down as a VROD, but it' so hard to tell.
I can't help thinking that giving chase at these speeds in built up area's was a very dumb move by the cops.
I mean I hate to see villains getting away, but I hate to see innocent bystanders get hurt or killed even more.
I'm pretty sure UK Police would have called that off pretty quickly.

I enjoyed watching the video, but I did think it was shear lunacy.

Dangerous and stupid police chase. The guy sure could ride that monster, pillion and all. I tought it could be a Diavel too.
