I quite like this

Postby GRAgusta » Mon Aug 31, 2015 5:43 pm

We were in Dundee's Mini shop a couple of weeks ago, and while Jenny was talking Mini I poked around the R9T test bike standing outside, and thought it was ok.

But yesterday I was in Milan with time to kill, so I took the train to Lecco - primarily to find out how to get to Mandello del Lario for a later midweek visit if time permits. All along the lake side there were loads of bikes parked up, posing.

Amongst them I found this R9T and thought it was rather attractive, ideal at least for posing in the sunshine on these twisty busy roads:

I rather liked the finish on the tank, and the bikini fairing.

Milan.............. Dundee.............

Tough choice you had! :?

A neighbour of mine has one of these Ducatis (same red)

Lovely bike - think I'd prefer it to the R9, to be honest

(He's also got an MV F4 Biposto (red/silver) in the middle of his hallway (600miles only)

That is the front page of the map ...... Page 2, Moscow...........Aksai..........

But while I'm here I plan to see some museums .... Moto Guzzi, Ducati, Ferrari, MV Agusta ...

Jenny will be here soon .... her list is the Last Supper and Venice .... but I plan to take her shoe shopping.

I was a little non plussed with the Ducati GT1000, but liked the Sport Classic, however it all comes down to personal taste - a good bike is a good bike.

If I need spares for my F4, I'll give your friend a ring ..... if he's not using his :D

the Guzzi museum is free, roll up, sign the register and have a wander, I was there a couple of weeks back as a mate owns a bike shop in Lecco.

I'll be in that neck of the woods in 3 weeks time, so will try to negotiate a morning at the Guzzi museum. Managed a tour around the Piaggio museum near Pisa last year, which is well worth a visit if you are ever passing by there.

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

Park opposite the gates Paul, parking is free, once you're done with the museum, head for Lecco and earn brownie points with lunch by the lake, the weather should still be kind by then, there's a plenty of very nice places to eat..

cheers

I looked on their web site, and got the impression the museum is only open weekday afternoon.

Is that correct?

Paul, sorry no more good photos from my afternoon in Lecco, but there were loads of interesting bikes, especially 1970's & 1980's classics in excelent condition. Especially a KH250 and a GT550 Suzuki
