My bike has only one previous owner, he did 19000 miles in 5 years and put the expensive cans and lennies pipe on it, I have had it for nearly 10 years and done 16000 miles, I have raised the bars above the top yoke and after really struggling last year with a knee problem I have fitted lowered footrests which I hope will sort the problem,(along with having had surgery).
I had a time last year and the year before when I considered moving it on and trying a GS or similar as I find it a pain to ride around town and it hurt to ride with a dodgy knee, but now I use the 660 for short trips and the 11 for days out and still love the feel when I am on it. I have periods when I don`t ride for several weeks and longer over the winter but not ready get to change just for something different and a lot more expensive that will only be ridden 2 thousand miles a year. plus we have the MR2 so if we fancy a change we drop the roof and go out in that. I am sure the time will come for a change but hopefully it will have achieved "classic" status by then

There's one for sale over on UKGSer (2004 Mk 2) with only 10,415 miles on it.

Sounds like it could be the original owner, who is selling it.

Asking £6,200 for it

Okay - Not a lot of miles for £3,000 in depreciation from new - but a lot better than most!

Maybe a tip-top Honda SP-1 or SP-2, or even an R1150GSA SE might equal that - but not many would.

(slightly off topic  )

We have had an 11S as part of our 'family' since 2001 and have owned our current 11S nearly 7-years. I did try to sell it last year but it wasn't to be & I'm glad now that it didn't sell
Gail & I both ride Honda's these days cos we can.
I took the 11S out for a spin last weekend and absolutely hated the thing for the first 5-minutes or so, it felt soo lumpy, bumpy and generally 'strange' after riding me Crosstourer BUT after 5-minutes in the saddle I forgot all about the C/Tourer and fell in love with the 11S all over again, I've never known a motorcycle which has so much character & is completely different to anything else I've ever ridden
If you have the luxury of owning more than 1-bike, then hold on to your 11S as I doubt they'll ever be anything like it ever again.
Cheers,
Rob & Gail :D

Totally agree, Rob - although I think the new 1200RS could be considered a modern replacement?

Albeit, with conventional forks.

Right it is going defo  spending hours" primpin" it for the Reivers Run (most of them up into loft and the sitooterie looking for the bits)

Heart wants a 899 panigale or RC8R Head says Gixxer750 K5 (no cost option) after selling my trusty BCR.

675 Daytona is attractive but way too race prepped for me.

Touring two up is now in Amandas Panda.

Sports bike for me ... Yipeeee :)

Edit Gixxerscott does not seem right somehow :?
