The Big Breakfast

Postby slparry » Sun Apr 13, 2014 4:46 pm

Well .... had a new set of Avon Storm 2 Ultras fitted to the K yesterday, and spent today doing 200 miles around the Welsh mountains to bed them in (after popping to Prees Heath, Whitchurch for the Big Breakfast meet ... jeepers it was heaving!)

I love new tyres the bike feels awesome on them. The K's steering gets real heavy when the tyres are worn down. ..... there are now zero chicken strips on the edges ... unlike several of the sports bikes that were parked next to me at the bike "watering holes" we stopped at for lunch and coffee ;)

Weather was gorgeous, although a tad cool at altitude such as the Ponderosa. Oh as a heads up the "Pondy" now has free wifi, 4mb which is not too bad for the top of a Welsh mountain :)

Popsky will be pleased to learn on the highest shaded peaks there were pockets of snow still evident!
