good ride out for a cold august

Postby dave the german » Mon Oct 15, 2012 11:19 am

decided to have a blast yesterday (well it was decided for me by my SWMBO pillion) over the A69 and M74 to Gretna for the purchase of balsamic vinegar, then up to Moffat for sustenance at the Buccy Arms, over the Beef Tub, Innerleithen etc etc back to A68 over Farter Bar and back home - just shy of 260 miles. Heavens opened and I had the biggest grin on my boat race for a long time. Mucho fun

you're right Dave, I did buy balsamic earlier in the year - go through quite a bit. quite sad that they remember me in Gretna Food Hall for buying it! The pillion is someone I met at a mates wedding a few months back. She has her own bike but wanted to ride pillion

Sounds like a brave rideout for this time of year Dave. Must have had your thermals on?
