Hello to all

I returned to riding bikes after a long lay off from 1975-2007 when I bought a 1985 K100RT on a bit of a whim. This was my first big bike and a world of difference from the 1970s Honda 125 traillie that I last rode. But I loved it.My work colleague traded in his Honda 600 for a silver/yellow R1100S which I lusted after immediately and eventually bought from him in 2009. This was a revelation to ride after the very heavy K bike but unfortunately my ageing body complains a lot if I ride much more than 100-150 miles in a day so I just have an occasional ride out into the Yorkshire Dales or to Scarborough if it's nice and dry (yes an unashamed fair weather biker). My 1100S is going in for an MOT this Saturday after an 18month SORN so hopefully I'll be on the road soon to catch the good weather and as I'm now retired I can please myself when I go (wife permitting of course).

Hello and welcome to the forum, a great bunch of people on here. :D

Just spent a cracking week in Scarborough although missed this fine weather. It was cloudy and cold and as soon as I'm back to work, look at it! Oh well, we still had a good time.

Thanks Topcat and Dave the German.
Bike passed the MOT at 9.30 Saturday morning....road taxed at 10 and off down the road to Squires Cafe on my first ride on a motor bike for 14 months. There was a big Yam promotion on with stunt riding and ride outs. Very enjoyable.
