Ah-hah!

I guess I am used to seeing the Remus with a bellypan fitted, and not seen the extent of the collector box.

Cheers!

So - Henners' bike will be a "Boxer Cup Replikaca"?

Henners wrote:Thanks for the advice :) I ordered one of those and it's waiting to be painted, in fact ordered the sticker kit today and just need to make the bracket and source the rear fittings. Mine was £35 I think. I love the look of the BCR but couldn't find one when I was looking ~ will probably enjoy owning this bike as much because of the time I'm enjoying working on it.

Ah yes, £35 sounds right. I bought it for use on trackdays with the spare fairings I have. It's unpainted though so I'd be interested to see how yours comes out. I originally wanted my spare fairings in a Boxer Cup scheme too but got huge quotes for it.

Slow progress due to life getting in the way however the Ohlins went off to be refurbished yesterday and Boxerscott's panels have arrived, need to get the tyres changed and the belly pan etc. painted. Still, progress being made :D

This is what I bought last September, looks good in the photo but huge corrosion issues:

Finally all the pieces come together to transform her into what Blackal calls a Replikaca

Sorry to say that although I enjoyed the project I do not like the bike so much. I had fond memories of my 2000 S which I bought new from Vines in Guildford, however, since parting with it in 2002 I have owned numerous other bikes from Ducatis to Fireblades, Bonnevilles to VFRs, you name it.

I now find the S heavy, slow and vibrates far more than I remembered. It feels like looking up an old girlfriend to find that she hasn't aged well :(

I will get drummed out of the Brownies on here I am sure for saying such a thing however it is my truth. The bike will be available from Haslemere Motorcycles in about 10 days time if anyone is interested.

You obviously ruined the handling by taking the Boxertrix stickers off. Schoolboy error...

Good luck with your new steed. What did you plump for as a replacement?

Cheers,

Paul

Everybody's different mate, different stokes different folks etc etc etc

I've had my 1100S for about a month now, yep its much slower than my previous bikes, ZRX1200R and a Blade. But on the road its plenty fast enough, I'm no riding god and a few of my mates dont hang about either.

I absolutly love it, yeh it vibrates, yeh it requires a certain technic to start first thing in the morning.
Wish I bought one years ago.....

Good luck with the sale mate.....
