R1200S Akrapovic exhaust wanted

Thinking of treating my R1200S to an Akrapovic exhaust for Xmas... :santa:
I'm looking for the full Monty - header pipes 'n all.
Actually the header pipes don't need to be Akrapovic, any quality de-cat headers would be fine.
If there are any out there do let me know... :reindeer:

Good luck Dids.

Just for info purposes the full Akra system tail pipe will only fit the full system whereas the Akra slip on silencer will fit any headers made to fit the standard tail pipe.

Cheers Phil, I was totally unaware of that.
Could have been an expensive mistake...

Just a thought but you could possibly get a set of decat headers for a 07 GS and have them modified to fit the standard link pipe on the 12S then you’d be halfway there. The do come up on eBay more readily than anything for the 12S.
I’d say the headers would be more difficult to acquire than the silencer but only marginally as rocking horse poo is rare whatever the flavour

Thanks Phil, I'm starting to realise how much I don't know about the R1200S & Akrapovic situation...

The 07 gs pipes are much smaller diamiter. I bought some thinking that. They dont fit.
12s headers are 57mm. Gs are 52mm.
So ive de-cated std & going for a zard can.

Thanks for clearing that up, I’ve often wondered if it would have been possible to do but obviously not :|

Could it be a typo? I just walked to my garage and measured the outside diameter of the OEM, the HPE and the Ti Remus headers are all 50 mm, and the Ti Akrapovic headers 46 mm. :?

Has he quoted the ID - as being 57mm?

OEM R1200S exhaust ID is ±48mm and so is the Remus.

Akrapovic ID is ±40mm at the head, expanding to 50mm at the connection with the two-in-one. Earlier today I measured the OD about midway between the head and the 2-in-1.

I did not realize before today that Akrapovic was using a Venturi tube in the Titanium R1200S manifold.

Easy explanation of the Venturi principle here (less than 5 minutes): https://youtu.be/oUd4WxjoHKY

I originally posted on 4th December and am now the proud owner of an Akrapovic end can complete with Bos decat header pipes.
I bought these from Dave the German (Cheers Dave  )
I'm chuffed to bits with the looks + sound and there also seems to be a performance increase too.
While I'm totally happy with all this I'm wondering whether I maybe need to have a remap done?
I'm assuming that the Lambda Sensors will make a reasonable job of altering the fuelling now that the catalytic convertor is gone and the end can has changed?
Anyone have an opinion on whether it's worth getting a remap?
Cheers
