It's really not a problem. You take the bike to your friendly BMW dealer who restricts it (€300) and changes the headlight (500) and gives you a cerificate stating that it's conform to regs. You then send that off to BMW France who send you a certificate stating the same thing (200) and then you sen...

Anybody live near Grimsby?

I "may" just be flying into your part of the world to collect a new bike (yes, it's the K1200R Sport...) and I wondered if anybody I know can put me up for the night.
I promise not to drool on the pillows and to bring you a tin of confit de canard
Anticipated thanks

Public perception in the UK is that we're a bunch of anti-social tossers. This is probably due to the fact that very few of the population have ever ridden a PTW. Also the fact that they're all stuck in their tin boxes on those enormous car-parks that pass for roads in the UK, watching you sail past...

Every year we do our (now famous) "kitten run". I get as many bikers together as I can and we then have to ride from Melle to Chef Boutonne without travelling on public roads . We're also timed and if we take longer than the allowed time we lose points. Nobody's ever complained although on...

The first days of Spring and a Brit motorist's mind turns...

...to thoughts of murder. Hell's teeth! It's that time of the year again. Brit holidaymaker + extended lunch + restaurant next to quiet country road = assassin on the wrong side of the road when I come (gently) round the corner. I must be getting used to this as I manoeuvred left while.......so did ...

Got my ST back yesterday. It's now up for sale on every website going and I've had the same number of responses as if I was selling an Austin Allegro with "Tequila Sunrise" trim... :(

OY! Get orf moy l-a-a-a-a-n-n-d!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was MY ploy, young Paul! And that's MY K1200R Sport you're looking at! Hands OFF! I didn't like the Tiger at all. Bizarrely the old model (with the knock-knees) was a much better ride. But that means nothing. Ride one for as long as you can and see ...
