Dear All, I've just taken bits off for the first time and seeing the inducts and after reading about the merits (and cost) of Lennies etc., I muse... What would it be like without the induct? 1). I would have thought this would allow more air in than the induct. There seems to be enough gaps about. ...

Me too!.. Well parts.. Just got new Pilot Road 2s.. Commute when nice (time served when younger) on bike from Hexham way to Wallsend (that's pronounced Waalsend for those darn sarf). Looks like it's got an oil tank/radiator resevoir in the seat hump.. The next step from heated grips? A seat warmer.. boil in the bag bollox!

I had exactly the same.. short bolts + long bobbins! I rang Motorworks who said that the bolts were correct, but if I preferred they could send longer ones. As wanted to get out and as far as I understand, as long as a bolt extends its diameter into the threaded bit should be ok (like bolt+nut..). W...

Cobbster.. I got my r1100s this sept and am still feeling my way around! I see you refer to local fixers.. I know of GeordieBoy's DIT in Washington, can you give any other suggestions/recommendations?

The bit I was raving about was Carlisle - Hawick.. haven't been on the the bit to Edinburgh, though looking at maps.google.co.uk the 'nice' bit seems to start south of Gorebridge (heading south).
