How well can you fold up? I rode one with helibars and lowered pegs... still felt like I had to put my knees in my armpits while trying to grab the front axle. But it sure does rail.

These are PDF files from US and UK bike magazines, which unless site owners want to get in trouble with copyright infringements, you cannot find online. So if this site didn't have the right to sell these files (I would presume it does?), who'd be in trouble for what when someone bought a copy of o...

Mine were stuck to the point I could not move them by hand. They were blown out before I had full pressure on. They blow out really easy with air. Why not just couple them back up to the brake master cylinder and use hydraulic pressure to shift them? Hydraulic power is a lot safer than coupling up ...

Hi Stormcloud (or anyone else who's bought any reports from mcreports.com), Do you mind if I ask if the articles you got from mcreports.com contained anything that couldn't be found online on review sites or forums? $21 seems like good value, and it sounds like the reports you got (I presume you go...

Nope, that's how it should be. The extension is pretty much useless imo.

You should do a zero=zero and most likely that will fix this issue. Don't do it. Fix the underlying problem first, or you'll be chasing your arse for ever. What is the tickover on your bike? No offense, but it can be the underlying issue. It is so easy to tell someone not to do something, without a...

Have you checked the battery is in good nick mark?

It's correctly adjusting the TPS (throttle position sensor). It is often to be found to have been set incorrectly at the factory, and very much capable of producing said problem.

Winger, that's bull. They are still being made and you can still order them. If for whatever reason a dealer does not have one on the floor does not mean they are not being made anymore. Just have a look at www.bmw-motorrad.co.uk.

Check out http://www.realoem.com for part numbers. There is a few differences between ABS and non-ABS versions, so you may want to check. Also, the R1150R has 320mm discs; if you have an older bike with the 310mm discs you may want to check the parts for another BMW with the same discs to see which ...

Steve, the S is the only one with 4.5mm discs from stock. If you use the spacers of the R1150R, you wil have normal clearance as the R1150R has 5mm discs standard.

If you buy new bolts (you should), they come with the spacers and washers and springs.

On PP there was a report that a lot of the oil usage on some bikes was caused by the engine vent being in the airbox. Under certain conditions, there would be so much under pressure in the airbox, oil would get sucked out of the engine. Disconnecting the vent reduced oil usage close to zero. During ...
