All sounds good, seems like the right bike for a wee 5ft tall lass. Spanner in the works though.... i've been looking how much direct access training is these days, anything between £900 and £1200!!! thats silly money. So I've decided, as she is so small and even in her rocket ship Audi TT doesnt ev...

like how quick the marshals responded to the incident!

And what did that guy expect to do once he'd grabbed that bike, seems a good way to lose a hand....

F650 GS, any good?

Has any one had an injection F650? My Mrs (who is very short) keeps talking about getting a bike, and an F650 or funduro has always been top of the list. Motorworks have a 2000 model for just £1700 with FSH, - http://www.motorworks.co.uk/vlive/Shop/BikesForSale.php?id=200 So I'm considering getting ...

At a jet station I got told I couldn't sit on my bike and fill it up. Apparently its too dangerous in case the bike catches fire and you cant get away from it quick enough! I also like the MCN story of someone who got told to remove their helmet because the dangerous build up of petrol fumes inside ...

Only with a faulty seal, it shouldn't have worn out in 6k.

I've never tried to get at the clutch area on the 1200, but I assume just to check if a seal is gone is a big job, maybe involving removing the gearbox (someone else will probably know exactly what's involved).

All boxers can get oil on the clutch plates when the output seals go, not something that's easy to check though....

Yea it sucks. I think it's the way the pedal hinges, you sort of have to push it down and forward, but the way your foot works when resting on the peg is to push down and backwards (as your foot rotates around the peg). I tried lifting my foot clean off the peg and pushing the pedal straight down wi...

Yea, that's the one I've seen before. Epic.

I really like the reflection of the strips on the bike/leathers/visor as he flies by.

It does take a while for the old RT to spin the engine up, but I swear it has the 1200 beat for low down torque, the 1200 seems to need a gear lower around town. I'm appreciating the outright power of the 1200 though, it would keep up with the S well into naughty speeds... I like the mix of comfort ...
