Biscuit tin full of washers!

That is the sound coming from the vicinity of the standard cans on my R1100s when I ride over rough ground etc. It's fine the rest of the time. It could be the heat shield attached too the cans (come loose in some way) but it sounds worse than I expect this would. Anyone have experience of this or s...

Simon, I've simply moved my existing bars below the yoke (it was a simple task).

Re: R1100s riser bars back to stock

Thx for info above.
My forks are silver.
The clip ons on my bike are the comfort ones. However mechanic thinks they can be put below the yoke just won't have the lug to seat them in the yoke.

Re: R1100s fuel pump is loud

2Twins, thank you for confirmation, video and eBay link.
Too complicated for me. I'll need to find a mechanic. There is an independent BMW specialist in York I'll try them first.

Anyone know what a pump & filter change is likely to cost?

Karl.

R1100s fuel pump is loud

I've only had the bike a few weeks.
Previous owner advised it was loud for the year he had it.
I've done about 400 miles on it no issues.
Should I be worried, is this a sign the pump could fail?

Cheers.

R1100s riser bars back to stock

Hi, I've recently bought an R1100s. It has riser bars ie clip ons are above the yoke not below. Apologies if any of my terminology is incorrect. I'd like to put back to standard ie below the yoke. Is this simple to do or does it involve complications with the forks eg mine appear to be longer than a...

Hello from York

Hello all, Back to biking as the kids are old enough to amuse themselves. Just purchased a lovely R1100s from a very nice chap in Cambridgeshire. Roll on the warmer weather. I'm interested in a power socket for a phone if there is a go to recommendation and/or instructions. Also, after a rack and ha...
