Re: Replacing my Nav VI...
Got one of these in the car, seems to work fine linked to my phone. The phone needs to be plugged in as it juices the battery but its great for the maps and easy to see. A few people have found that it isn't the navigation, but the music playing - that consumes the power and on nav alone - it is no...

Re: Replacing my Nav VI...
Well, I have bitten the bullet and gone for a CRAPURIDE too. I did wonder how fast it all syncs up with the phone and Cardo after a coffee stop (for example), but seems to be quick in test with the phone. Time will tell how quick it is with Cardo comms too. I've started to use MyRouteApp routing an...

Re: Replacing my Nav VI...
There is now a Carpuride adaptor available which is a sandwich plate allowing direct fitment to the BMW/Garmin cradle to also utilise the power supply through the cradle. So - easily unmountable like the Zumos/Navs, but also chops the power, as before. AND- could allow you to retain your NAV unit un...

Re: Replacing my Nav VI...
Very interesting !
Was just discussing the likes of Myroute and Furkot yesterday with a pal and we drifted onto tablets on the bike/waterproofness and Carpuride units.
Carpuride could indeed be the way forward and to jump from NAV 5/6 while they are still worth some money - secondhand.

I can see the attraction!
Lots of great biking roads there and in Spain - and the weather is the cherry on top.
Good luck with it all.

Re: All Change.....
 Blimey Steve, KTM was short lived, good luck with the Triumph gig hopefully hear all about it in May Have to admit - I had an itch for a 1290GT, but the KTM niggles and infrastructure ultimately put me off. They make some great bikes, but I don't think they get the volume. The 1290SA 'seems...

Good for you! (at least you're not trying to sell Harleys)
Triumph make great bikes.
Thought you might have been thinking about retirement?

When you post - there is a tab below the text screen for "attachments"
Just upload the photos there (bearing in mind there is a size limit) You can either choose from your computer files or drag the file into the pane.
Easy-peasy............ Lemon Squeezy!

Re: ACF50
Never been a fan of ACF50 - and the notion of using an aerosol can to spray into a cup to brush on, seems counter intuitive to me. I use this stuff: TECTYL CAVITY WAX https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=577146942&rlz=1C1CHBF_en-GBGB814GB814&sxsrf=AM9HkKlaNHbpbE0_giV6dfrvUILpuyxYmw:16984082...

Totally agree - a very pleasing livery, and the small bellypan (which I believe allows fitting the centrestand) works very well.

Re: Almost a new member again.
Very nice !
I sold a full Akra last November for £3,500, which I felt was a good deal for the buyer.
One thing I noticed when it was off the bike - it weighs absolutely NOTHING!
They don't come up for open sale often, that's for sure.
Enjoy the bike - they really are special.
