Thanks DD, I've been doing some research and it sounds very much as though may the the Hall effect sensor. Does anyone have any experience of changing one? I found a video on Youtube, but it shows everything except taking the old one out and putting the new one in, and more specifically getting the ...

Cough, splutter, stop...
I've had a search through the forums but nothing seems to be exactly descriptive of this problem: 2003 twin spark ABS 1100S; starts cold, runs fine for about half a mile, then starts to cough and splutter before conking out. Smells of petrol but no obvious leak. Tries to re-start, eventually does wi...

Agree with most of what's been written, must have been difficult for the family to put the video out, but the fact is, the rider was travelling much too fast for the situation. Maybe the car driver was disorientated, confused or whatever, most likely not paying attention, and while I'm not defending...

Footrest lowering kit on ABS 11S?
I love my 11S but the riding position is killing my knees.
Is it possible to fit a footrest lowering kit to a 2003 11S with ABS/linked brakes?
The brake lines look pretty solid to me...

I did that too on the Old Kent Road a few weeks ago, I was executing a perfect feet up (legal) U-turn when a chap with a small child started crossing the road right in front of me while looking up the road. Grabbed a handful of (linked ABS servo) front brake, the bike stopped dead and before I could...

I'll repeat my appeal for annual, or bi-annual eye tests for anyone over the age of, say, 60 (dunno about the age, but the line has to be drawn somewhere). My direct experience of three aging parents was that it wasn't their road sense, nor their reactions - (and I don't think reaction times should...

http://www.autoaidbreakdown.co.uk/ Why pay more? 8) Reading reviews the only issues seem to be response times, which is down to the local operators they use. The serpentine belt broke on my Saab at work the other week, and the recovery vehicle was there very quickly, very efficient service. The set ...

I passed my bike and car tests within a few months of each other way back in the last century. I like both (and driving artics, tractors, in fact anything) and each has a place for me, but I don't much care for public transport, although I use it if I have to. I really cringe when I hear riders call...
