 That went wrong really fast....

That road just gets more dangerous the further down it you go (towards Maclesfield), I was expecting the crash to happen on the followig few corners where it really tightens up.

+1 on the pic! When I went from PR2s to PR3s on my 12S, the improvement was amazing! I've had them fitted to every bike I've owned since... To be fair, unless they were new(ish) PR2s that you took off - the real difference is going from worn, to new tyres........... I can't say the 3s are a huge le...

What Happened To Me!

So, today is the second day I've come to work in the 'Postman Pat Van' (Vauxhall Agila 1.3) following a weekend of driving around at any opportunity, after passing my driving test last Friday. 8) I've always been anti-car/pro-bike, and wanted the bike to be my transport for life. The Mrs wanted me t...

Me neither! ;)

Point taken though Al, if it's a problem I don't mind removing it.

If anyone's is interested, dropping a K1200GT on its side and scraping a few bits costs £2307 to fix! Glad I'm not paying for it!

Part of the reason I got apple TV was because in my naivety I thought you could install apps just like on your Ipad or Iphone so would be able to watch direct from the apple box. Airplay works fine though, with a bit of mucking around with the settings on the TV to get the aspect ratio right. It do...

You're right on colour, it was taken by a friend trying out his EOS 60Da designed specifically for astrophotography, it features a Low Pass infrared cut filter that allows the greater capture of hydrogen-alpha (H-α) light of 656mn length. :? I was just sitting here thinking "hydrogen-alph...

Did you know every time someone makes up a statistic they use 87%? :P

I think you'll find statistically, insurers will use 100% of possible excuses they have to rip you off 100% of the time. And 100% of the time, this will pi@s you off!

So, my insurance is up for renewal at the end of this month, I received a good renewal price at the start of the month, but then received another quote a few days after I was rear ended by someone. My insurer (hastings) has put it up by £100 because someone ran into the back of me! How is tha...

K1200GT Face Lift....

So, last Tuesday some turd decided to run into the back of me at a junction in his Clio. :( I'm ok, its was a low speed bump, but the hefty 1200GT was going over and no amount of strength was going to hold it up. It seems the exhaust took the hit, and the back wheel was not touched (luckily i think)...

Saw one of these at an auto jumble the other week. It's a very cool bit of kit!
Shame there isn't a roof option (though it would look crap!) to make it a real car alternative for bikers.

My rough route would be - Glasgow, Galloway, Lake district, Peak district, Wales, London. A bit of motorway/A roads between each, but not too much....

I'd have thought hugging the coast would be a good route (either coast), but it would take a while!
