It was my tyre guy who said that I shouldn't fit the Sportsmarts and Pilot Pures to my K1200R Sport. Bike's too heavy. Roadsmarts are fine however, as are Pilot Powers. Roadsmarts are the best I've fitted.

Are the Sprtsmarts (and indeed the Pilot Pures) a recommended fit for these bikes? A little bird told me that the bikes were a bit too heavy for them.

Highlights the woeful inadequacy of the CBT. When I was still in London I took three acquantances under my wing after (like immediately after) they'd passed their CBTs. They were AWFUL. A danger to themselves and others. And yet how many people pass their CBT and think that that's it, they can ride ...

Yes, we do have our share of "offs" and almost without exception it's due to riders not giving themselves enough space to see where they're going or to assess road hazards. The classic incident is somebody piling into a ditch while following his mates too close into a tightening bend; he m...

Hmmmm.....we do seem to be getting more than our fair share of European exotica, and to think that only a few short years ago all I ever saw down here was Japanese sports tackle. Had one of those VFR1200s down here this year. Rider was billed as "blindingly quick" and I'm quite prepared to...

I liked Ogri.....not so much the storylines, but the background details were always very funny. I remember one, a film poster for "Mission Impossible IV" with the strapline "Find a friendly pub in Wales" Thanks for the update, I was wondering why we were getting old B&W reruns

Riding a K with a knackered shock would be an interesting experience, baring in mind 130 ain't scratching the surface engine wise. Been there, done that :) My rear shock was kanackered from the off (non ESA) but as the bike only had 2K miles up when I bought it I assumed everything was OK and just r...

Super weekend. Weather was classic. As were the oysters

What's wrong with ESA, Winger, that you wouldn't "touch it with a bargepole"?
