Re: NEC
Last time I went 20 years ago, I swore I would never go again. I found it to be little more than a glorified car boot sale for dealers to offload old clothing stock, The bikes were almost peripheral. I've been assured that it's changed. Apparently I was not alone in my opinions, and the organisers ...

Thank you for the replies, looks like I'll stick with the std pipe clamps then, I don't want to introduce more things that can go wrong, I think BMW has done enough of that. Cheers Al There are lots of threads about this so just do a search. One thing I recall about disconnecting the pipes from the...

I found it tricky to fit the couplings under the tank but others have done it. If you do buy couplings buy the metal ones rather than the plastic ones. I must confess that since attempting (and abandoning) to fit couplings I have not had the tank off since. How often do you intend to remove yours? DT

Cheers guys, the problem is my fairing bracket was not attached to the fairing, and it looks like it was glued on in two positions at the factory. I think if I take the BMW badge off I could use drill and two M5 countersunk bolts and nyloc locks to secure the bracket to the fairing. Ron Oh I see. W...

Best way to remove tank is a couple of the small fuel line clamps which can be applied before you split the hoses from the coupling. As you have removed the bodywork already the left hand fairing fixing is exactly the same as the right hand side I.e. A small screw into the back of the badge area. DT
