Always amazes me - even in a car - how people coming out of a side road, look at you, pause, and then pull out in front of you... I highlighted in a recent post how our DHL delivery driver had a car come out of a side road into his brand new long wheelbase, high roof Sprinter in bright yell...

Pulling the CCP with the lambda conected in mine it seemed to be very rich when warm it rattled like it was about to go bang i think it was washing the bores also on the overrun it was igniting fuel in the pipes I would suspect that there is something else going on there. My BCR did not have any of...

I was told the lambda only really comes into play around tickover speeds anyway? Since time immemorial, it worked below 3000 rpm and/or up to one third throttle. However as time has gone on the EU requirements (among others!) has meant that more and more of the throttle and rev. ranges are attempti...

No CCP lambda unplugged Bike ran great I think that you will find that if you just unplug the O2 sensor, then the ecu registers the fact that there is a 'fault' in the system and goes onto a default map. So by just unplugging the sensor, you are not actually doing what you think you are doing! If y...

If it's the same as my K12GT the front lever operates the front and rear brakes and the rear lever only operates only the rear brake. I don't think that is right. IIRC the brake lever and the brake pedal do exactly the same thing. In other words you can get maximum braking by using only the brake p...

The German Motorrad magazine performed an interesting test on mufflers in 04/2002 (source: http://www.s-boxer.de -German language -). They tested 8 different after-market (tuning) mufflers for the R1100S. Even though those manufacturers make a living with their products and many promised an increas...

By the way, the balance pipe on your r1100 increases low end torque. What shape would a the manifold have to be to increase top end power? The existing balance pipe is a bit misleading. The inside of it is blocked off with the exception of a small hole - IIRC 10 mm diameter. I am guessing that that...

PC545 - exact same size as the original IIRC I don't think that that is correct! The HP2 Sport has a smaller battery than previous R bikes. I think that the battery is the same as on the S1000RR. IMHO the OE battery is too small! Occasionally it would not restart (30 secs or so) after a short break...

It's not going to note where and how long and how hard you braked as there simply isn't anything that measures that on board a bike! You would think so, wouldn't you? The older ecus do not know where you are, but, as I said, I have seen a print out from a 2003 model ecu. Every new model is signific...
