Hi Madman, Thanks for your kind comment. Mrs Big Rob and I are heading over to Brittany on 13th June, for 2-weeks. My wife is picking-up her new R1150R from Vines on the way to the port. biggest mileage in one day

Hello all, Biggest mileage in one day was about 700 miles; left home in Forfar @ 05.30 on 8th July 06 rode down to Portsmouth (approx 520 miles), sailed across to Caen then rode from Caen to Uzel (approx 180 miles) arrived in Uzel @ 00.30 9th July Weather was glorious :D 1100s was faultless

Hi,
I can't fault my German Para Boots & Gortex liners (military surplus stores), for added comfort I wear Gaiters too (any walkie type shop).
I have on a couple of occassions ridden 500 miles plus in the foulest of british weather, the above combination works well.

The bike has just had it's 36K service. I have been in touch with BMW UK who will review my situation when they see a dealer report.

I'll keep you posted with any progress.
