My 1923 engine has done 6500 miles. Is it really true the loosen up after so many miles? If anyone is interested I have just ahd a diagram and instructions from BBPower for the pre-twinspark 1100s chip.
His diagram of the stage settings is slightly different to the one post on here earlier.

Looking at the diagram and comparing to the fuese box... when i look at the fuse box from the left hand side of the bike, there is a socket for jumpers on the very left edge ie the front edge of the fuse box... Hi gromit ,
Unfortunately my car keeps it bloody retarded once it retards it!
Each time it recognises bad fuel it retards by 4 degrees...twice as a max, then it has to be taken to the dealer to be reset. Nice eh

I can only give a definitive answer to this, with regards to C*rs. Subaru tuned my car earlier this year and the fuel makes a subsatntial difference. The quoted output with 95 ron fuel compared to 98 is over 8 bhp different. This is official quoted figures as per Subaru UK. Optimax is 98 i believe.....
