It this seal goes, then gearbox oil will happily travel down the pushrod and find its way onto the clutch plates. The sa...

As them above, I reckon my S was a nicer road bike with std cans and y piece (No Cat). The Remus was a lovely sound but did rob a bit of mid range.

All transmission seals can be replaced with the transmission in situ,(Except inner input seal) but, when your mechanic says Clutch Pushrod Seal, Im guessing he is referring to the Input Shaft Seal, the one behind the slave cylinder? Thats the tricky one as the seal has nothing to bottom against and ...

It's entirely probable that there are those who enjoy using a bike commercially - but I wouldn't be surprised if it tempers their enthusiasm for recreational biking. Take the average Mon-Fri worker - come the weekend, they are probably keen to get out on their bikes The fella who's spent all week o...

Although I dont use the bike for work as much as a few years back, I still regularly do 300 mile a day, and im not a courier, so although at first it looks almost implausible, 90K a year is probably easy for those guys, as Dai said 500 a day, even if you only ride 40 weeks of the year is 100K, jeez,...

Re: R1100S will not start.

The bike has been laid up for 18 months, brand new battery,no noises when ignition key is turned, thought I'd cracked when I remembered the side stand but no joy. Dont wanna scare you but after 18 months sat, who knows, I know somebody who found that most of his wiring loom had been eaten by critters...

This probably goes back a few years when you could buy Hypoid or Non Hypoid gear oil, I believe since GL4 or GL5 gear oils came about there is no need to worry as those API's will do for both. Think BMW were just trying to get people to put decent oil in. What I will tell you is dont worry about the...

In a past life I used to build and sell High End Road and MTB's. I can never remember seeing or hearing about Frame failure due to corrosion on steel frames, 4130 or Reynolds 525/853 but I too would use ACF-50 if you want to protect it. You could speak to Argos Racing Cycles in Bristol, theyve been ...
