Insurance
So the insurance renewal letter arrived from BMW Motorrad Insurance. How much? A small fortune be to precise. So having the car insured through the RAC I called them and got the full package, including all the add ons for £200 less. The irony is that both are insurance brokers and the actual insuran...

Re: Additional lights linked into canbus
Buy these lights with caution - I've just had DHL on the 'phone saying that unless I pay £107 in VAT and duty they cannot release the lights to me. A conversation with HMRC reveals that the greedy swine in Whitehall can indeed sting you for import duty and VAT on goods bought outside the EU even tho...

Re: Additional lights linked into canbus
I've taken the plunge and bought a set of Clearwater Darla lights from the USA, complete with the brackets and their 'can opener' which is the wiring loom that links into the canbus. Ordered today and due for delivery on Friday.
I will let you know how I get on.

Re: Guzzi's HP2
I mean anything designed solely for the track isn't exactly going to be well mannered in traffic. That's a bit like when you are alone with your wife compared to when you are out shopping with her and your head is turning to look at all the pretty girls. (Hope she doesn't read this). Re: Braided Hoses
I fitted Goodridge hoses to my BCR and they were excellent. I chose to keep the standard system and they supplied all of the fittings. It went on easily and worked well. You can buy them from eBay - cost me £111.00

Additional lights linked into canbus
Has anyone with a bike that has a canbus system fitted any additional riding lights? If so which did you choose and was the linking into the canbus easy? I am thinking of fitting some additional day time riding lights to my RT but can't decide between a cheap pair of wunderlich (sub £100 http://www....

Wonder how long it is before someone comments on the moss/grass between blocks - oh, I've just done it!! I had not taken such a short sighted view of the excellent photographs - I was more concerned about the wayward bushes in the background that look as if they need pruning !! :D Bike looks great.

I saw that bike when I was buying my RT. I have to say that I found Lloyds to be good to do business with.

Re: REX
I had a 1982 GPZ1100B2 the first with electronic fuel injection. It was awesome. As already said, though, it went like a rocket but handled like a pig. The normal first modification was to ditch the rear tyre and fit a Michelin but even so it was not brilliant. Wish I had it now.
