I reckon it's the first ride thing (sticking up for the Bonnie) - just like the R11S - doesn't make sense until you get used to it and start riding it a bit harder (within reason), I hated it the first time I took it out - brakes are 'OK' (not really)- wallows in ...

I have an Optimate (SP3) and can't fault it.

Have the sockets wired to all of my bikes so I just plug it in when required.

They also do an Optional BMW (DIN?) connector for less than £10 which should plug direct to your power socket I guess.

You can get one of eBay for about £35 I think.

nice work ... or just get a blue LED sidelight bulb (501?) from the Halfords nasty car blingy section ... works a treat (although illegal of course so I could not recommend it )

It does work - the BCR in blue and white and I have a blue LED side light bulb - when I wear my hi-viz belt it's amazing the difference ... you see them (car drivers) think twice at junctions, brilliant.

Which means ... they do see you - they just don't care!

I have one of these and it is a very good piece of kit.

Use it on the R11S and Bonnie and they are both secure as long as you make sure to get the supports in the right place.

I remove the additional mini-support shown in the picture and it works well. Not sure on the R12S though - sorry!

I'm with TT ... I don't get along with the switchgear (after 18 months and 16k miles on the BM).

Firstly, trying to cancel the indicator with the same hand you are trying to control the throttle with, which are combined activities usually, does not make sense.

Secondly, I have not managed to use ...

It is a 'cool' bike - I don't think there is anything else about that can be classed as such an all rounder - has a certain presence too (sort of like a london bus).

Take my recent trip - commute to work in the morning, then pop home after work and fit panniers, tedious motorway to Dover, pleasant ...
