I asked my dealer if they'd so me a discount on the BMW tankbag for my R1200S. Here's the reply:

I've has two replaced under warranty on the GS. Get it in to your dealer and have a brand spanker fitted before the warranty runs out!

I had a similar problem on my 1200gs.

Have you in any way fiddled with your rear-brake sensor? My got knocked out of line slightly and caused the same problem. it may be worth checking.

Its still fiddly to get too unless you remove panels. I fitted an optimate lead to it yesterday - awkward!
