Hi the inlet clearance is 0.15mm (0,006") and the exhaust is 0.3mm (0.012").This is from the bmw service dvd and the US model is the same setting as the UK model.It also quotes this value is for less than 35 degrees C.Hope this is OK.

Hi Stoney,i hope your father gets better soon.I know from personal experience how much trouble spilt diesel causes.

I find it doesnt make any difference to mpg whichever i use.
