Budget for new pistons, barrels etc, this is for when the pistons melt.

Run the standard chip with the K12 fuel pressure regulator, it's a better, cheaper and more reliable mod than the BB chip.

I think both bulbs came to £350 or something like that. It was a "group buy" on the Pelican board that was shipped to a bloke in the States who then shipped them over here. I sold mine to Peter when I sold the bike. I bought the stuff about 4 years ago so the prices will have changed since then. If ...

If you do both you've got to find space to mount two ballast boxes When I did mine I clamped the two ballasts together and mounted them under the steering in place of the horn. I moved the horn to somewhere down on the left under the fairing panel. There is a bloke at work who's just fitted a HID t...

The vertical play in the linkeage suggests something is worn. It's not a major job to pop the bearing out so why not have a look?

Jap bikes are notorious for chewing front bearings;I remember a few courier mates getting between 10-15K out of them on their H*nda NTV/Revere. Bailey. The Blade is good on wheel bearing, it eats headsets though. A bottom steering bearing lasts around 10K. I wouldn't mind if I wheelied the thing bu...

Normally I wouldn't have stopped but the lanes at the bottom of the A1 are so narrow it's sometimes impossible to filter. In this case I didn't have anywhere to go. Also, I thought it would be wiser to stop and sort it rather than get a letter from plod for failing to stop. Anyway, I have enough of ...

I spoke with Carole nash this moring to report the incident as I knew he was going to try to get some money out of me. From my description they reckon I'm OK, so I called blokey. He says he had a mechanic put the bumper back and the bill is £100 plus VAT, how would I like to pay. I gave him the addr...

I hit a car this morning

Filtering between stationary cars and as they start to move a bloke in the right hand lane makes a sudden dive for the left. I went round the car and felt the bumper brush my leg. Not hard, more like a feather brushing the outside of my boot. I wasn't going to stop but checked my mirror and his fron...

Oi Gromit

For your next test ride can you get a go on a MZ 1000 SF please.

I believe there is a dealer in Sandy which would make a nice ride out for you.

Ventura don't recomend using the luggage rack as a backrest but the grab handles are OK. I've still got a pair of Ventura rails for the S in the garage if anybody is interested.

A Griso appeared briefy in the bike park at work a couple of weeks ago and it was indeed lovely. If I had the cash I'd go for an HP2 with road wheels.

After a very expensive Ducati test ride a few years ago I'm reluctant to take a bike out unless I intend buying it (996's are definately not cheap to throw down the road).

Gromit - do me a favour and pop over to Colin Collins for a comparisson againts the Super Duke.
