Hi I only live about 8 miles from the ponderosa café. And if any of you lads fancy a day out up here in North Wales just let me know and I will show you some good biking roads with excellent scenery on route.

Regards Dave.

Hi.
Good news there Ian. Glad it passed the test with no problems. May be laser cans are a bit more noisier? Saying that I don’t really know.
Gromit. Exactly what my mate said not so harsh + a lot smoother. Not noticed any change in performance. Mind you at my age I don’t really push it.

Another ...

Thank you all for the comments and suggestions. The short story is. I did take the bike to another mot station again they said it was too noisy. But this particular bike repair shop had db killers in stock (the straight version) because laser end cans are angled they cut and welded the db killers to ...

Cost

Hi Jason.
The actual Job took about 1.45 hrs. When I queried this they said that they took another man from another job to give the fitter a hand on the bike.

So the total hrs they said was 2.30hrs+ the cost of the grease etc.

A bit steep to say the least.

Many thanks.
You all had it one. They where the paralever bearings and in a bad state they where too.

Got the bike fixed today. Cost. Labour only £141.00.
Bearings…motorworks) £ 33.00
Total cost £174.00.

Just glad to get the bike up and running again.

Thanks again.
Dave.

Dave
I think the dealers price for paralever bearings was about £20 a side last time i bought some.I did go to a bearing stockist once for some, think i saved about £5 on the pair.Make sure the fixed pin and bearing stud are not scored. If they are replace them. Not a big cost.

db killers (baffles)

Hi.
Many thanks for getting back to me. As I am doing a course tomorrow with the Police (bikesafe) I wanted some answers if they asked me some awkward questions.

Thanks again.
Dave.
