Rice burner close but I do live next door in Australia.
Nigel yes 38c is too hot to ride with leathers etc. If it gets too hot we give it a miss but having said that were off this Thursday and it's predicted to reach 37c.

Re: Pre xmas rides 2023.
Last Tuesday four of us went for a ride to Bulahdela via Booral. Went through Newcastle heading North onto the Pacific Hwy to buckets way road then to Booral turned right onto Booral road, which is an old logging road and is now tarred. It's very narrow and very tight and twisty but still has a 100k...

Pre xmas rides 2023.
My other bike is a 1993 K75RT on vintage plates that I did up for touring with the MRS. A couple of weeks back a mate bought a Yammy XJ 900S and was getting back in the saddle after a long layoff (he had a big crash a few years ago) and was a bit nervous so I came for a ride with him on a similar ag...

Re: bye bye telelever
I too like the telelever and I always thought it was changed on some models to accommodate the central mounted radiator for coolant. I used to own a K1300S and it had a Hossack front end and was just as good as the telelever.

Re: Lightweight wheels.
Blackal you were right and so is the hype. I really like them they made a big difference, the fear of potholes has subsided and now I'm just enjoying my new improved bike. Money well spent ( instant seat of the pants improvment ) than say a new exhaust. Now when my battery goes I'm going to replace ...

Re: Pre xmas rides.
Early December before the School holidays went for a ride to the iconic Putty road meeting up with a mate at Broke about 370kms. I usually go via Sandy creek road to Wollimbi and Paynnes crossing road to Broke but these roads are that bad after the rains they are no longer enjoyable. So I went via L...

Pre xmas rides.
Bit late reporting but the forum has been pretty quiet so here goes. November went for a ride about 320ks through Yarramolong valley which is badly potholed to Kulnura then to a famous old pub at Wollimbi which dates back to convict days and was recently under water. The road there is a good bike ro...

Re: Lightweight wheels.
Wheels finally arrived a couple of weeks back now fitted up with Pirreli rosso 3 tyres and on bike ready to go. First ride out yesterday on hwy and mainly twisty country roads about 250kms. Noticable difference in bike in one word NIMBLE. The claims are true quicker acceleration, much easier to chan...
