Re: Welsh Weekend 2024

Hi All,

So for all us Welsh Weekend virgins, is there a plan of routes or is it made up on the day?

Can we join halfway through for a ride out if we know the route and are not staying at the hotel?

All advice appreciated.

Regards Mark.

R1200S Akrapovic slip-on exhaust can wanted.

Hi All,

Just on the off chance someone is selling their Akrapovic slip-on exhaust can before they move their bike on, I would like to buy one.

Yes, I know I have more chance of catching fire……..but if you don’t ask you don’t get.

Steering damper r1200s oil change?

Hey All, I have seen a video on the Youtubes where a chap strips a steering damper from another BMW r1200 something or other, but nothing to strip one for our bikes. So at this age the oil is bound to be contaminated, has anyone taken it apart and replaced the oil? I’m not keen on damaging mine so a...

Re: service due warnings on dash

Hi Jez, Yes that’s the one, the Unicarscan2100. I had bought a cheap one on eBay for £10 but found out that didn’t do all the functions and could brick your ecm! Most of what it can do I watched on the YouTubes, The Old Mechanic channel. I seem to recall I bought the cable from Amazon though and it’...

Re: service due warnings on dash

Hi,

I use the Motoscan app on an android phone together with an obd2 dongle on a cable and it works great! Much cheaper option and I am very happy with it, I can reset the service light, clear codes and even test things.

Search the YouTube’s for more info on what it can do.
