Re: Accessory Socket
The lead that plugs into the back of the socket has corroded and upon inspection one of the cables broke away from the female socket - green powdery copper  Is this common and can I just get a replacement cable to plug in in its place? At less than two years old this seems a bit poor even if i...

Sorted...
Bailey, Thanks for the offer. I managed to find an appropriate bit of wire and twist the conductors securely together, then wrapped the joins with some stretched self amalgamating tape. I then re-covered the bundle of wires from the fuse pod to the frame in more self amalgamating tape. That should d...

Have you checked the horn relay? Mine worked loose and the horn packed up. Just needed to push it back in. Stempy, Have't checked that yet. I'll whip off the fairing and have a look tonight. In the event that the relay is damaged, rather than simply worked loose, do you know if it's the same spec. ...

Horn problems
Gents, Took the bike in for it's MOT this morning (pillion footrests attached, just in case ) and wandered off for a fried breakfast whilst they sorted it (any excuse...). Came back after 30 minutes. "Sorry sir, it failed. The horn is not working". Now, I've had problems with this about 6 months ago...

Jason - 100 miles to the light??? I take it you're 'enjoying' the bike then :D I used to reckon on somewhere between 120-135 of normal brisk(ish) riding. Totally ragging it I got the light on in 92 miles - but that was caning the living daylights out of the bike. ...or commuting in slow traffic. I ...

The joys of servicing
Gents, Serviced the bike today and managed to get away with only one sheared bolt (top right altenator cover bolt). I replaced the alternator belt using Bailey's patented "quick-'n'-easy" technique of cutting off the old belt (which was starting to split...) and fitting the new belt over the bottom ...
