Can't fault your logic there mate. Do you fancy a nice low milage (well, compared to yours, anyway) Manderin bike for your stable as an insurance policy for the day when yours finally admits defeat?

Darth,

Check the little handbook which came with your S and it will show you how to adjust the beam to continental mode. Alternatively, you could leave the beam as is, and be sure the continental car drivers really spot you

I briefly considered getting a pair of these, but decided against it because: 1) they are ugly 2) they (used to?) cost more than a replacement pair of magnesium covers 3) I wear the scratch on my cylinder head covers with pride. I can't show the only other evidence of getting my cylinder head down,...

Get yourself an Autocom and an mp3 player an the problem will mysteriously resolve itself

If my S stopped rattling, then I'd worry about the new abnormal behavior.

Bern, I tried Platinum plugs at my last service and I can't notice any change in the performance or feel of the bike whatsoever. Since a pair plugs cost me only £7 I don't feel unduly cheated tho' Give it a try, but don't set your expectations too high for the effect it's going to have. Just ...

Re: How difficult

How difficult was it to fit the Zach Y piece and did you need to adjust any other parts of the set up. Chip etc Before attempting it, arm yourself with 4 replacement bolts for connecting the headers to the mid-section/cat. The existing ones are bound to be corroded to buggery. If you can get a long...
