Heated Grips

Folks, Winter's approaching so time to sort out the heated grips on my second 'S. I have the left hand switch gear fitted with the rocker switch to control the heated grips, but I don't actually have the grips fitted. I could buy the Genuine BMW parts at a wallet busting £140 the pair, but I vaguely...

Sandbar,

Do you have a list showing what you currently sell and the UK retail prices? If you could post up an extract here in this thread, I guess we could advise you on what we'd be interested in setting a group buy up for.

Cheers,

Paul

I do not want to use this forum as an advert, but if you don't make contact, you will never really know - will you?

No problem mate. Just pop some carbon fibre goodies in the post to young Gromit and myself, and we'll say no more about it.

If you have the time to take off both side panels and possibly remove the petrol tank... Production engineering at it's finest.

Gus,

Invest in a better pair of ear plugs, or an Autocom so you can drown out the noise with music

...And given the problems experienced by Givi users I have spoken to, make sure you get the metal top plate (rather than plastic) and keep checking the rack for cracks at the point where the support bends upwards towards the top plate. StephenB has parted company with his top box on several occaisio...

What tyres are you running Gus? People always seem to complain about Metzlers being noisy.

This month's BIKE mag

Folks, This month's Bike mag has a freeby DVD givaway, containing footage of loads of bike crashes. The best one is some footage of Randy Mamola high siding his bike on a left hander, keeping hold of the handlebars, going onto the grass and 'skiing' alongside the bike with both feet on the right han...

Dickie,

Sorry about that. We were in the middle of re-organising the web site when Gromit, who owns the URL, had to go up to Edinburgh for the tattoo for a month. Should be sorted come September.

Sorry MV, We've been fart-arsing around with the Boxertrix.com site, with the aim of finally banishing the somewhat misleading "blackbriard" address from the forum, but we were halfway through making the changes when Gromit had to go up to Edinburgh to get a tattoo or something  . Gents,

Didn't Malc manage to fit Yamaha R1 calipers on his old S? I don't remember if he made a custom adapter bracket for them or if he got one off the shelf from somewhere.

Cheers,
