Yeah, twas an interesting read. Nice input from Nigel (Sandbar) as an afficionado. I had no idea that the mk1 RM BCR is the rare version. Seems the later RWB tall ones weren't a limited production run. Every day's a school day... Mike :) There is an even more rare S ~ the one produced to by UK Moto...

The nearest I've got to understanding the cause on some bikes is if the clutch is often kept dis-engaged e.g. whilst waiting in gear in traffic. How you find out if that happened to your bike I dunno :(

turns out he was filtering and the car did a U turn without looking Blimey! How fast was he 'filtering' :shock: Not fast apparently but the car slung out as he was at the side of it Must have been very unlucky indeed for a slow speed spill to result in a fatality. Thank you all :D Almost half of you still use mineral oil which is interesting ~ could it be we are all more experienced and know our engines don't notice the newer concoctions? Maybe. I have today bought 5 litres of Repsol Super Elite 20W50 mineral oil which I will give a go as it's available here ...

Speed awareness tend to be offered if the infringement is small e.g. no more than 39 in a 30 limit and the offender doesn't have a record of previous offenses. Good Luck
